Every piece begins at the bench. Our artisans cut, shape, and polish sterling silver by hand. For inlay work, shells—often Abalone, loved for its natural rainbow shimmer—are micro-cut and fitted into silver channels. No two pieces are ever the same; nature draws the pattern, the craftsperson frames the story.

The Process

Design & Silver Base Fabrication

We translate a sketch into a solid sterling-silver foundation—cut, formed, and soldered for strength and comfort. Joins are cleaned until invisible and edges are smoothed so the piece feels good in the hand.

Channel Cutting

Fine grooves are carved into the silver to house the inlay. Tolerances are tight so the shell sits flush, and a tiny chamfer protects the edges from chipping.

Selecting the Abalone

Abalone is chosen for colour and figure, then micro-cut slightly oversize. Kept cool and carefully filed, each fragment lies flat and shows natural iridescence.

Fitting the Inlay

Every fragment is dry-fitted, adjusted, and seated with fingertip pressure. If adhesive is used, it’s crystal-clear and minimal—leaving a seamless join to silver.

Finishing & Polish

The inlay is levelled perfectly flush, then the silver is brought to a mirror finish. Edges are softened so the piece wears comfortably every day.
